What to Expect This Weekend (1/26/13 - 1/27/13):
Beale Street (Between Mission and Howard Streets): There will be MUNI Overhead Contact System (OCS) work at night on Beale Street. There will be construction impacts to traffic with lanes reduced from three lanes down to two from Saturday, January 26 at 1:00 AM through Sunday, January 27 at 5:00 PM.
Western Transit Center Site (Between Second and First Streets): Mass excavation and trucking of soils has become a 24 hour activity and will be performed Saturday, January 26 between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. On Saturday night, January 26 and Sunday, January 27 the hours of operation and level of activity may be reduced. Dump trucks will enter from the construction gate located on Howard Street (between First and Second Streets) and exit the construction gate at First Street (between Mission and Howard Streets). Micropile installation and testing along with welding of trestle steel and cross lot steel bracing will be performed daily Saturday, January 26 between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
Central Transit Center Site (Between First and Fremont Streets): Mass excavation and trucking of soils has become a 24 hour activity and will be performed Saturday, January 26 between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. On Saturday night, January 26 and Sunday, January 27 the hours of operation and level of activity may be reduced. Dump trucks will enter from the construction gate located on Howard Street (between First and Second Streets) or First Street (between Mission and Howard Streets) and exit the construction gate at Fremont Street (between Mission and Howard Streets). Welding of trestle steel and cross lot steel bracing may be performed Saturday, January 26 between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
Eastern Transit Center Site (Between Beale and Fremont Streets): Buttress construction is a 24 hour activity and will continue Saturday, January 26 with minimal work on site between 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM. On Saturday night, January 26 and Sunday, January 27 the hours of operation and level of activity may be reduced. This work has a scheduled completion of the First Quarter 2013. Trucks will enter from the construction gate located on Fremont Street (between Mission and Howard Streets) and exit the construction gate at Beale Street (between Mission and Howard Streets).
