72 Sales in April

April was a great month to be a seller in San Francisco

How was the month of April for condo buyers and sellers in South Beach, South of Market, Dogpatch, Mission Bay, and Yerba Buena? Overall, there were 73 sales reported in the MLS during the month of April, which is up slightly from the 69 condo homes sold during the same month in 2012. One of the sales was for a parking spot, though, so let's call it 72 sales! The most expensive sale was for a residence in the Millennium Tower, a 2 bed, 2.5 bath home in the Grand … [Read more...]

National Housing Market Picks up Steam

US Housing Prices, source: Quartz

Which is excellent news after several rather painful years (which I'm sure I don't need to recount in excruciating detail for you) for condo owners and sellers. It is not secret that the San Francisco condo market has been on fire as of late, and I'm not surprised to hear that the national picture has finally shown strong and convincing evidence that it is on the … [Read more...]

Located at 935 Folsom, the new fire station is an outcome of the SF MOMA expansion. Small Foods

A Big Hello to Small Foods

I fell in love with Small Foods as soon as I walked past the cash registers (iPads) and saw that they stocked Dry Soda. They are a neighborhood market located on 2nd St. in SOMA between Brannan and Bryant. According to the very nice cash register guy I spoke with yesterday, they've been around since last summer. It looks like - according to their website, at least - that they will soon be offering grocery delivery, as well as a catering menu. Zephyr once … [Read more...]

Three Most Expensive SF Condo Sales in 2012

2012-09-20 13.51.53

The median sales price of a San Francisco condo in 2012 was just shy of $750,000, coming in at $746,000. And in 2012, we were just 5 condos short of selling 2,500 condominium homes in San Francisco. Of the 2,495 sales that did take place, only three went for a sales price of greater than five million dollars ($5,000,000). What were they and where were they? Since this is a blog about condos in the Yerba Buena, South Beach, South of Market, Mission Bay, and Dogpatch … [Read more...]
