Completed in 2009, SF Blu is home to 114 condo units with only six condos per floor. Rising 21 stories, the building is sheathed in – you guessed it – blue glass. Almost all of the homes contain two bedrooms (there are no studios or one-bedroom condos) with a small number of tri-level penthouse units that contain three bedrooms. These tri-level units devote one level to the kitchen, dining room and living room (plus a powder room), with the three bedrooms on the lower level. The top level contains a private solarium and outdoor terrace with fantastic views.
The standard finishes delivered by the developer in all homes include marble and granite counters, maple hardwood floors, stainless steel Viking kitchen appliances, a full-size washer and dryer, floor-to-ceiling windows, and air conditioning — not very common in San Francisco but a welcome addition in the neighborhood with some of the best, warmest weather in the city.
Some homes on higher floors facing north have beautiful views of downtown, and south-facing units on higher floors have views of the Bay. Located in the Yerba Buena district, SF BLU provides easy access to AT&T Park (home of the World Series winning San Francisco Giants), many public transit options, the Embarcadero and downtown San Francisco.
There are plans for an open, public space between SF BLU at 631 Folsom and the building next door at 633 Folsom. This green space will provide public seating and art.
